In 1995, three individuals with Alpha-1 co-founded two organizations: The Alpha-1 Foundation and AlphaNet.

While AlphaNet focuses on connecting Alphas with other Alphas who can support and improve their quality of life, the Alpha-1 Foundation focuses its efforts on research, Alpha-1 testing, advocacy, and community outreach.

By dividing our efforts, we are able to accomplish more. But we are still closely connected with the Alpha-1 Foundation.

To date, AlphaNet has contributed more than $70 million to the Alpha-1 Foundation to support Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency research and programs.

Together, we are creating a better future for everyone with Alpha-1 and working toward our goal of finding a cure for Alpha-1.
