Janis Berend
Janis is a nursing consultant for AlphaNet and the Nurse Practitioner Coordinator for the Alpha-1 Clinic at the National Jewish Medical and Research Center in Denver, CO. Bonnie Boyd
Bonnie S. Boyd, Director of Disease Management and Clinical Research, holds a B.S. in healthcare administration in addition to her R.N. She has extensive administrative and patient care experience, serving most recently as Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at an 800-bed, 2-hospital system in West Palm Beach, FL. Her clinical experience includes nursing director positions in cardiovascular disease, critical care, trauma and emergency medicine.

Teresa A. Kitchen
Teresa Kitchen, BSN, RN, joined AlphaNet in 2007 as Clinical Nurse Manager. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1993, from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. Teresa has an extensive background in both home infusion and oncology and has spent six of her 14 years as an RN working with AlphaNet and the Alpha-1 community.
She previously worked with Prolastin Direct in the area of IV infusion therapy, supplies, infusion procedures and education in the administration of Alpha-1 proteinase inhibitors. With direct experience administering infusion therapy for AAT deficient patients, she also has worked with a wide variety of home infusion pumps.
Teresa has additional experience in an acute care medical center setting and holds special certifications in chemotherapy and PICC (peripheral inserted central catheter). She lives in Edwardsville, Illinois with her husband and two sons.
